9/8/2025 – Partial Support for Linear Feet in Equipment Posting

Supports Linear Feet when posting to DAT via 3PL Systems

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Parade now offers partial support for Linear Feet (LF) when parsing equipment details and posting loads to DAT. This makes postings more precise, but requires a specific format in the equipment string.

What’s New?

  • Linear Feet Support: Equipment strings that include LF in the correct format are now recognized and posted to DAT.

  • Partial Coverage: Adding “Linear Feet” alone does not imply a Partial or LTL load—those must still be sent as separate flags.

  • TMS Compatibility:

    • Fully supported: 3PL Systems

    • Partially supported: TAI, which currently uses a different format (Parade has requested a move to the new format).

    • More TMSs may be added on demand.

Why This Matters

Clearer load details on DAT help ensure carriers know exactly what’s required before quoting, reducing miscommunication and improving match quality.
