Easily resolve equipment mapping issues and ensure accurate load processing

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Equipment types are critical for accurate load management. Parade uses standardized codes to classify equipment, but sometimes the information from your TMS may not match these codes. To address this, Parade provides a way to map your unique equipment codes to standardized types, ensuring seamless load processing and visibility.

When there's an issue with equipment mapping for a load, we will now display a banner with the following message:

"We haven’t been able to properly map the equipment for this load. Please edit it on the TMS or contact support".

This banner ensures you're informed when additional action is needed to ensure loads are processed correctly.

What Should You Do?

1. Edit the Load in Your TMS:

• Review the equipment type in your TMS.

• Update it to a more standardized or recognized format (some Syndication partners have a very specific list of equipments that are consider valid).

2. Contact Parade Support:

• If you’re unsure how to resolve the issue, contact our team for assistance. You can find us at support@parade.ai.

• We may request a mapping document (e.g., a list of your equipment codes and their descriptions) to resolve or clarify how to better assist in some specific cases. For example, something like the following would be of big assistance:

  1. Equipment on TMS - Description of the equipment

  2. ST - Straight Truck

  3. HC - High Cube Container

  4. VR - Van or Reefer

And so on.

Why Does This Happen?

Every TMS uses unique codes for equipment types (e.g., “V” for Van or “FB” for Flatbed). While Parade has a built-in system to interpret many common codes, some codes may be too unique or customized to automatically recognize. This new banner helps you identify loads that require extra attention to map equipment correctly.
