3/26/2026 – Global Search Bar

Search across carriers, loads, and quotes from anywhere in Parade.

Updated today

You can now search carriers, loads, and quotes from anywhere in Parade. The search bar lives in the top nav on every page, so you can find what you need without backing out of whatever you’re doing.

What’s New

  • Global search in the top nav: Click the search bar from any page, or hit Cmd+K (Mac) / Ctrl+K (Windows) to open it instantly.

  • Three categories, one search flow: Results are grouped into Carriers, Loads, and Quotes. Move between tabs without retyping your search.

  • Each tab is tuned for how you actually search:

    • Carriers — carrier name, DOT number, or MC number

    • Loads — load ID, origin city, or destination city

    • Quotes — carrier name, DOT, MC, load ID, origin, or destination

  • Built for the keyboard: Open search, switch tabs, move through results, and open what you need without touching the mouse.

How It Works

  1. Click the Search bar in the top nav, or press Cmd+K / Ctrl+K from anywhere.

  2. The search modal opens to Carriers by default.

  3. Start typing. Results update as you go.

  4. Press Tab to move to the next category (Carriers → Loads → Quotes).

  5. Use ↑ / ↓ to move through results, then press Enter to open one.

  6. Press Esc to close the modal and stay where you are.

Why It Matters

  • Search from wherever you’re working — no more jumping to the Carriers or Loads page just to run a lookup.

  • Faster carrier lookups — if all you have is a DOT or MC, that’s enough.

  • Better quote visibility — search a load ID in Quotes and see every quote tied to that load in one place.

Examples

A carrier calls in and only gives you their DOT number

Hit Ctrl+K, stay on Carriers, and type the DOT. Their profile comes up right away — no digging, no navigating away from what you’re working on.

A carrier wants to know why their quote didn’t get accepted

Hit Ctrl+K, press Tab twice to jump to Quotes, and type the load ID. You’ll see every quote on that load so you can answer with the full picture.

A carrier is on the phone asking about Chicago freight

Hit Ctrl+K, press Tab once to go to Loads, and type “Dallas.” Matching loads come up instantly, so you can keep the call moving.
