Brief Introduction to not-so-brief links.

Hello! If you're reading this then most likely you've either been searching how to get your Magic Links back to their old, shorter version as earlier in 2024 and prior, or have been referred to this page by our team.

In short, some security adjustments were done to allow MagicLinks utilization in different areas of the system, as well in new. up-coming features. Those adjustments, however, brought with them an increase in the size of MagicLinks themselves.

Here, I'll go over a great solution in how to use them and integrate those links in your messaging without suffering from this larger size they now have...

Hyperlinks!

Hyperlinks are text options that allow you to wrap a word or phrase around with a link. For example, if you were to click in this phrase here, you would be redirected to the Hyperlinks section of this very same article! If you take a look into our Table of Contents, there are also three hyperlinks there: one to each of our subtitles.

As such, they can also be used during your communication with carriers: for example, putting a link under the text of "Load XYZ123" that will bring the carrier directly to that load on Parade! Since Hyperlinks are available in almost all emailing and messaging software, and are also quite intuitive to use, they should improve your communications with Carriers – and allow you to share those new, safe, fast and information-rich hyperlinks – without any hassle.

To do that, in most softwares, you can just press "Ctrl + K" after selecting a specific text, and you should be good to go: a window will open up for you to fill the hyperlink! Here is a quick video showing that on Gmail.

If you're unsure on how to create hyperlinks on your messaging software, you can always resort to right clicking the text (after having selected it), or holding ctrl and clicking the text instead (on some softwares), and then selecting the Hyperlink option if it appears!

And that is basically it! Always feel free to reach out to Support if you've gotten any more questions – MagicLinks related or not! – that you need help with.
