Capacity Map gives brokers a powerful visual tool to understand available capacity and make faster, data-driven coverage decisions. By seeing load-to-truck ratios across states, brokers can identify where they have strong carrier density and where they may need to source new capacity—enabling better pricing, planning, and customer service.
What’s New?
Visual Capacity Insights
Brokers can now access an interactive U.S. map within the Capacity tab to quickly assess market conditions:
Hover over any state to view its real-time loads-to-truck ratio.
Use a color-coded key that shows where capacity is tight (lighter colors) or plentiful (darker blues).
Click any state to automatically filter search criteria by origin or destination.
Watch the map update in real-time as you change From/To State settings for targeted insights.
Color-Coded Carrier Density
The map uses clear color shading to help brokers quickly evaluate each lane:
White / Light Blue: Low capacity-to-load ratio, signaling the need to source new carriers or expect higher rates.
Dark Blue: Strong capacity-to-load ratio, suggesting better coverage with existing carriers and competitive pricing.
Grey: No load data available for that state.
The darker the blue, the stronger the ratio of trucks per load.
Seamless Workflow Integration
Accessible directly from the Capacity tab in Parade.
Filters automatically update location criteria as you interact with the map.
Supports both “From State” and “To State” views so brokers can plan for origin or destination needs.
How It Helps
The Capacity Map accelerates decision-making by showing you where you might need to find more carriers or where you can be more aggressive on pricing. For example, if Illinois is light blue, you know loads there face carrier scarcity – you might raise offer rates or reach out to new carriers. If Texas is dark blue, you have an abundance of trucks – an opportunity to cover loads at better margins. It essentially serves as a real-time freight market heat map for your brokerage.
Extra Features:
Fast Workflow Integration: The map is accessible directly within Parade and tied to your load lists, so you can click a state and immediately see matching loads/carriers in that context. No separate tools needed.
Pro Tip: Use the map daily to prioritize your team’s efforts – focus carrier calls on light-capacity states and push sales in high-capacity lanes where you have an edge.
