Codriver Can now Negotiate Automatically via Email

We’ve launched an AI-powered negotiator for CoDriver Email that works automatically to drive down carrier quotes. This happens 24/7, in the background, with no extra effort from your team. Available now for email workflows, with voice support coming soon.


What’s New?

  • CoDriver intervenes when a carrier’s quote is above your Book Now rate, applying assertive, broker-style strategies to bring it down.

  • Negotiations run nonstop—before, during, and after hours.

  • Simple activation: toggle “Allow CoDriver to Negotiate,” and CoDriver takes over the quoting negotiation.

  • Negotiation is currently available for email workflows; voice channel support is in development.


What Hasn’t Changed

  • Brokers still retain control: you can manually counter any time.

  • The core quoting process stays the same

    • CoDriver will not negotiate on quotes that are already equal to or below your Book Now rate.

What types of Negotiation Strategies does Codriver use?

  • Small Margin Counter (Outlier) — “Let’s not lose this one for {price_delta} bucks.”

  • Book Now Rate required

  • Sense of Urgency — “If you want it, you need to be at {book_now_rate}.”

    • Book Now Rate required

  • Reference Other Quotes — “We have competitive offers. Come down to {book_now_rate} so we can lock you in.”

    • Book Now Rate required

  • Direct Ask to Lower — “Need you to come down a bit. What’s your best?

    • No Book Now Rate required

  • Odd-Number Counter Offer — Counter with a natural, non-rounded number (e.g. $1,647 instead of $1,650), staying between your Book Now and Max rates.

    • Book Now and Max Rate required

Other Important Details

When Negotiation Happens

  • Carrier quote must be above your Book Now rate.

  • CoDriver uses a single negotiation attempt per carrier per load.

  • If successful, CoDriver creates a new quote and rescinds the original.

When Negotiation Won’t Occur

  • The load is within one hour of pickup.

  • Carrier’s quote is equal to or below the Book Now price.

    • If there is no Book Now Price set, we will only ask the carrier to go lower.

When Negotiation Stops Negotiating

  • A rep counters before the carrier responds.

  • The load is archived.

  • An alternate load is offered (CoDriver does not negotiate alternate loads).
