Integration Overview
Highway is a carrier identity platform that assists shippers, freight brokers, and logistics service providers in verifying carrier identity to reduce fraud and streamline the digital booking process. This is a direct integration that eliminates the need for third-party systems like McLeod. Parade has an integrated adapter for utilizing a customer's Highway subscription to validate carrier compliance within the digital freight matching and booking process.
Key Benefits of Direct Integration
Elimination of Intermediaries: Direct connection reduces dependency on third-party systems like McLeod.
Improved Operational Efficiency: Streamlined processes and consistent data flow enhance workflow efficiency.
Enhanced Carrier Visibility: Load posting and status updates are synchronized in real-time for better carrier access and load visibility.
What Parade Receives from Highway:
Carrier information:
DOT Number
Carrier DBA Name
Carrier Legal Name
MC Number
Carrier Contacts:
Contact Name
Contact Email
Contact Phone
Parade Status (value can be Active/Inactive/Needs To Onboard)
-This tells Parade if the carrier profile is active in Highway or still needs to be onboarded
Parade Rules Assessment (Can be Pass/Fail) -This tells Parade if a carrier passes the customer rules in highway
How it Works
When an event happens in Highway, such as a carrier being created or a carrier being updated, they send Parade a webhook request that contains the information above.
When an out-of-network carrier quotes on a load, we will make an API call out to Highway to see if they pass the customer's rules.
How it Looks
The key feature customers like the most is seeing the Highway Pass/Fail anywhere you see and hover over the Carrier Circles:
In the Carriers tab -> Carrier Profile, you can see even more information:

FAQ
What if data inconsistencies arise post-integration?
Ensure you’ve outlined clear reconciliation policies during the setup phase to preempt issues. If you're still noticing issues with your Carrier Permissions, please reach out to our Support Team so we can look into those with you.
Can I switch between TMS and Highway to manage my data?
Yes, but ensure the precedence protocol defined during setup reflects this flexibility.
Can a Parade user override a disabled Highway carrier in Parade?
You can always manually adjust the carrier in the Parade portal, which will also prevent future updates [via API] from overriding what they change on that carrier.
