This integration is only for customers that subscribe to both DAT RateView and Parade.

Private Freight Matching Integration

Overview

Broker customers use Parade’s real-time freight matching screens to match available loads with private carrier network capacity and pricing.

This DAT RateView integration enables the end-user to quickly compare any pricing feedback or historical rates directly with the DAT market benchmark.

How we use the DAT RateView interface

For each available load, the Parade system will query DAT RateView for the most granular market rate-per-mile data that matches the load’s requirements and cache the customer’s resulting data for the day. The data is re-fetched on a daily basis until the load is unavailable.

The data is accessible to the user via the Parade capacity portal.

Booking Automation

Overview

Broker customers use Parade to automatically price consistent and contract lanes using Parade’s capacity management features. This DAT RateView integration enables users to configure automated contract management rules that will dynamically switch between the DAT RateView market rate and the user’s maximum preferred rate.

A designated carrier will then automatically be offered the computed and the carrier can proceed to digitally transact with the load.

How we use the DAT RateView interface

For each available load, the Parade system will query DAT RateView for the most granular market rate-per-mile data that matches the load’s requirements and cache the customer’s resulting data for the day.

Parade’s carrier offer routine then uses the DAT rate-per-mile data and algorithmically determines what the final carrier-specific offer will be according to user-defined criteria.

Parade will always select the CHEAPEST rate from the evaluation of the rule. If the DAT rate is cheaper than 80% of the customer rate, then the DAT rate is used. If 80% of the customer rate is cheaper than the DAT rate, then 80% of the customer rate is used.

NOTE: direct DAT RateView data is not displayed to the broker or carrier users in this integration. Only the by-products of the computed rate will be shown.

What users see to configure booking automation

Note: only administrators with permissions to manage all Smart Rules are allowed to create DAT RateView Smart Rules. All other users will automatically have this option disabled.

Example Scenarios:

Example 1:

Broker customer's rate for a load: $1000

Broker's minimum acceptable margin: 18%

Broker's maximum carrier offer: $820

DAT RateView rate for a load: $800

Because the RateView rate is LOWER than the broker's maximum carrier offer, the rate of $800 will be used for the carrier.

Example 2:

Broker customer's rate for a load: $1000

Broker's minimum acceptable margin: 25%

Broker's maximum carrier offer: $750

DAT RateView rate for a load: $800

Because the broker's maximum carrier rate is LOWER than the DAT RateView's rate, the rate of $750 will be used for the carrier
