Now, when manually creating or accepting a quote in Parade, you have the option to add the truck’s current location, the time it will be empty, and any additional notes about the truck or load. This additional information can be recorded at the time of quote entry or acceptance.
Providing these details (truck location and empty time) helps carriers and brokers better assess whether a truck can pick up a load on time, reducing potential delays and improving overall customer satisfaction.
For example, if a carrier’s truck is currently in Dallas, TX and will be empty at 14:00 (2 PM), adding this info to the quote can inform the broker’s decision on awarding the load. It gives context such as how far the truck is from the pickup and when it’s available.
Here’s how these details appear on the load details page once added:

How It Works
When manually creating or accepting a quote, click the “Optional” section (or similarly labeled toggle) to reveal the additional fields. You’ll see fields for:
Truck Location: e.g., Dallas, TX (where the truck will be coming from or currently is).
Empty Time: e.g., 14:00 (2 PM) (when the truck is free to load).
Notes: Any extra details or context – for example, “Driver prefers overnight loads” or “Reefer unit available”.
You can also manually add this information to existing quotes. To do so, select the quote you wish to update and click “Add Empty Details” and add the optional information you wish to include.
These fields are optional, but by filling them out you can greatly improve communication and clarity between you and the carrier. It helps ensure everyone has the same expectations about timing and availability, leading to smoother load handoffs.
