Smart Lanes - FAQs and Fields
Updated over a week ago

A smart lane is tailored for your carriers who consistently operate on the same route for you. This system automates the need to contact the carrier each time. After setting up the smart lane, Parade will notify the carrier via email when the load is ready, allowing them to book it directly through Parade.

FAQs

1- Smart Lanes only have 4 equipment types: Van, Reefer, Flatbed and Specialty. Which one should I use if it's not one of the first three?

  • If the load's equipment type is not Van, Reefer or Flatbed, you should select Specialty. This type encompasses all other equipments that are not listed as Van, Reefer or Flatbed.

2- Loads posted to Parade are only visible to carriers if it has a ship date within 7 days of today's date. Does this same rule apply for Smart Lanes/Cascades?

  • The Smart Lane will match the load and trigger the Cascade email independently of the date (i.e: if you post a load on July 1st with pickup date for July 30th, it will trigger the Cascade as soon as it is posted, on July 1st).

3- What is the radius used for the matches in Smart Lanes?

  • The radius for the Origin-Destination in Smart Lanes can be set in the “+ Add Radius” icon as shown in the example below:
