Auto-accept Quotes

If you receive a quote from an approved carrier and the quote is below the Max Pay for that load, Parade can instantly turn that quote into a Book Now and send the ratecon to the carrier.

This feature can be turned on by contacting Parade support. If you turn it on, you can track how many loads are converted via our Digital Health Booking report.

Onboard Out-of-network carriers

If an out-of-network carrier quotes at Parade you can now show them an onboarding link and they can sign up with you:

To set this up, please provide your Parade support rep with your onboarding link (e.g., a MyCarrierPacket Intellivite or similar).

Bonus feature: you can combine this feature with the auto-accepting quotes to automate sending freight to new carriers. If a carrier:

  1. Successfully onboards

  2. Has a quote that is below the Max Pay

  3. The load is still available

  4. The quote is less than 30 minutes old

We will do a Book Now for the load and send them the rate con. We don't wait longer than 30 min because we don't want to send them the rate con if the truck may no longer be available. If more than 30 minutes have passed, we will send them an email inviting them to do a Book Now for the load.

Data API

A common ask from customers is "can I get Parade data into my data warehouse?" With today's release of our Data API you now can.

We're making four APIs available: loads, quotes, capacities (all that we've collected for you) and carrier activities (email sent, loads viewed, private portal visits).

The API and documentation are available via the link above. In order to query, you'll need to get an authentication token: contact Parade support to get a token generated for you.

Post Bookable Loads to Truckstop.com

Parade customers who are also Truckstop.com subscribers can now post loads to Truckstop.com's marketplace and get digital bookings. You'll need a Truckstop.com Connection license and a Truckstop.com Book It Now subscription.

To turn on the feature, simply toggle on Truckstop.com via the Marketplace Syndication tab (click "Enable") and our customer experience team will be in touch to get you onboarded:

Get Additional Capacity from project44's Co-op

Parade customers who use project44 for visibility can now see available trucks from project44's co-operative within Parade. We query the co-op every 3 hours for each open load and ask if there are open available trucks in the co-op. These trucks appear as Posted Trucks against each of your loads (under Direct Matches):

In addition to showing you matching carriers, we'll also email the carrier with each matching load.

If you're a project44 and Parade customer who wants this turned on, you'll need to subscribe to project44's co-op and then contact Parade support and we'll get you set up.

Carrier Manager Reporting & Financial Metrics by Rep

We've updated our carrier rep performance report to include two new reports:

  • Financial metrics by person: revenue, gross margin $ and gross margin %

  • Different view of the reports by carrier rep (load owner) vs. carrier manager (if you have them).

See the help article on this report for more details on the report

Repost all your Loads to a Capacity Partner

Last week we gave you the ability to pull down all your loads at a capacity partner with a single click (see below). This week we added the ability to repost all those loads with a single click. Find this on the Marketplace Syndication Settings page.

Various Small Improvements:

  • Users in the Agent/Ops permission group can now change their password

  • We show the TMS user ID on your team's User profile within Parade

  • 🤦 We showed a blank error message on loads successfully posted to DAT. Now we don't!

February 10, 2022

See if Carriers are Enabled for Tracking with project44

If you use project44 for load visibility, you can now see if your carriers are set up with project44 from within Parade. We show a radio icon to indicate if a carrier is setup (the second carrier in list below):

If you click on the carrier's profile we'll also show you exactly how they're set up e.g., using a specific type of ELD or a Vehicle ID, etc.

You can use this to select carriers who you know are already set up for tracking and make it easier for you to execute loads.

More Tools to Manage Loads Posted to Capacity Partners

Every day we post thousands of loads to our capacity partners like DAT, KeepTruckin, 123Loadboard and Truckerpath (amongst others). These load almost always correctly post but we know that it can be a challenging day when they don't. Today we're adding a few more tools to manage these rare events.

First, you can glance at a load in the Load page and you'll see an orange color next to it if it failed to post to one or more capacity partners:

Second, when you click on that load and navigate to the Syndication tab we show error reasons wherever possible. These can be cryptic (we're literally passing you the error we received from the posting service) but we think it's important to be transparent about what's gone wrong. Sometimes this may help you troubleshoot the load (in the example below the pick date is set in the TMS as after the drop); our Customer Experience team will use these errors to fix loads faster.

Finally, in the really unlikely event that you feel your loads are completely out of sync with a capacity partner, you can now pull them all down with a single click on the Marketplace Syndication settings page:

We'll be adding a button to repost all the loads very soon.

Quotes Show in Source Searches

We promise that we never forget a carrier. One way we do this is that when a carrier quotes on a lane you can then find that carrier by doing a search in Source. We now show recent quotes in the capacity for the last 30 days:

Prevent Shipper Rejections by Double-Checking Accessorials on Book Nows

Some customers told us that they were having an issue where carriers would digitally book loads with accessorials and then show up without those accessorials and be rejected by shippers.

To stop this, we can turn on an extra step in the digital booking process that requests carriers confirm that they have the required accessorials. The screenshot below shows the carrier experience. Note that carriers will only be asked this separate step for loads that have accessorials; if there are no accessorials the pop-up is skipped.

Carriers who click "Yes..." will continue through the digital booking process. Our customers who have implemented this no longer report shipper rejections. If you'd like this turned on for you, please reach out to Parade Support (by default we do not double-check accessorials).

Better Email Subject Lines for Carriers

We've updated the subject lines of our Dispatch Campaign and Smart Rules emails. We now do a few things differently to make it easier for carriers to know if your freight is a good match for them:

  1. If a carrier is on a load for you and can get a reload, we put "RELOAD:" as the start of the email subject

  2. If all the loads are the same equipment type, we'll include the equipment type in the email subject

  3. If the email comes from a Smart Rule and the location names are five words or less, we'll include the location names in the subject

Smart Rules Performance Dashboard

A frequent question at Parade is "Are my Smart Rules working?" To help answer this, we've launched a Smart Rules Performance Dashboard. Full details of the report and how to use it are in this help article.

Filter Out-of-Network Carriers from Source

Building off our last release, we're giving you more tools to filter Source search results. If you want, you can hide any out-of-network carriers by clicking a new filter:

December 23, 2021

Out-of-Network Carriers in Source

One of the commitments we make at Parade is that we never forget a carrier.

Every time a carrier emails you capacity - searches your loads, tells you where an available truck is, sets a lane preference or hauls a load - we use this to update their profiles and match them on loads. One of the ways you see this is via our Source search where we show you the best carriers for a lane based on all of the above.

We've improved this to now include out-of-network carriers:

We take all the quotes and posted trucks from out-of-network carriers and make them available in Source. When you search lanes now you'll not just see your carriers (green circle next to them), you'll also see all the relevant out-of-network carriers (hollow gray circle) who have offered you capacity on that lane.

This is just one more advantage of digital quoting: the carriers are never forgotten and always at your fingertip. Plus, this is real capacity from carriers who quoted you, not just ones who said that they prefer a lane.

More tools to monitor loads on DAT

We now offer more visibility into loads posted to DAT via Parade:

To help you make sure your loads are posted properly, we show:

  • The rate at which the load was posted

  • When it was posted to DAT ("created at"), any time it was updated and when it was removed from DAT

  • You can also see who the load was posted as, both the Parade and DAT username

  • Last check lets you see how current the data is; click the refresh button to instantly update the info

Optionally Request ETA at Time of Book Now

A customer told us that they were having issues with carriers doing Book Nows but being unable to make the pickup appointment. To help, they asked us to require that carriers must enter an ETA as part of the Book Now process:

The carrier must pick the time when they will arrive. It will be included in the Book Now confirmation emails sent to your team so you can confirm that the timing is appropriate for your load ("ETA" circled below):

This feature must be turned on for all loads: you cannot turn it on load-by-load. Please reach out to us (via Intercom button at right) and we can turn it on for you.

Improved Lane Preferences: Show Source; Deletable; Multi-select

We've made a bunch of changes to lane preferences in the Lanes & Trucks tool. In the screenshot below you can see that:

  1. You can now see the source of a lane preference: did it come from your TMS? The carrier? Or did you team input it (and we'll show who did it)?

  2. If the carrier is subscribed to a daily email for all new loads on that lane, we show this (Instant Send). Pro tip: you can edit the preference via the three dot menu and sign them up!

  3. You can select multiple types of trucks for a given lane. Matching will show for any loads that match at least one of those trucks.

  4. You can delete lane preferences and see the deleted ones. If you make a mistake, no problem; you can undelete them. Note that you cannot edit or delete carrier-created lane preferences (but they can do this in your portal).

Capture More Quote Feedback

Did you know that your team can provide feedback on every quote you don't use? And that you can see this on our Missed Opportunities dashboard? It's a great way to make sure that your team isn't leaving money on the table and taking advantage of all your carriers.

We've updated the quote feedback section to add a new category - carrier ineligible - for carriers who don't meet your onboarding standards. Plus we've made it clear that this feedback is for internal use only; it won't go to the carrier.

Another small improvement: we now show you where all quotes come from: capacity partners, the daily emails Parade sends for you or your private portal.

Standardized Truck Types for Smart Rules

Creating Smart Rules is the best way you can drive more digital bookings. To make this easier, we've standardized the truck types that we show in the Smart Rule creation screen. Previously we showed every truck type you had even if it was the same type spelled differently or included accessorials. This change makes it faster and easier to create Smart Rules - especially for customers using the TAI TMS.

November 8, 2021

Quotes from Unusable Carriers Hidden for MyCarrierPackets Users

If you are a My Carrier Packets subscriber and integrated via Parade, we will now hide quotes from all carriers (both in- and out-of-network) who will not meet your onboarding standard (i.e., MCP's overall risk assessment is "Unacceptable"). To avoid wasting your team's time on unqualified carriers we will not email you quotes from them nor will we show them in Parade.

Change Book Now Rate before Sending

You've always been able to click the "Book Now" button to send a Book Now request to a carrier and change the carrier's email address. Now you can also change the Book Now rate you send.

New Look to Settings Menus

We have changed how the settings menus work: they're all nested under a new label. These are exactly the same pages as before, we've just grouped them in an easier to use area.

Easier to Understand Message Labels

Did you know that you can filter the outbound messages sent by Parade? We've updated the labels we use for the different email types so it's simpler to find messages:

  • Truck Availability Reply - loads that match an inbound truck availability email

  • Dispatch Campaign - the personalized loads email sent to carriers up to twice a day

  • Quote Counteroffer - an email sent if you counter a quote with a Book Now

  • Instant Send Smart Rule - loads that match a given Smart Rule

  • Posted Truck Reply - if a carrier posts a truck (e.g., on DAT) that matches your freight, this is the email reply with matching freight

Bug Fixes:

  • More truck choices: we added "Hotshot-Flatbed" to Lanes & Trucks

  • We fixed up page titles and they're easier to read when you have multiple browser tabs open

October 15, 2021

Carrier Age & Quote Feedback in Quote Notification Email

Quote emails now contain two new things:

  1. It says the age of a carrier at the top; you can skip quotes for carriers with too new authority

  2. There's a link to "Provide quote feedback" in the email. This will load a page in Parade where your team member can counter the quote or explain why it won't be used. This will be reported under the Quote Feedback in Reporting (see Sept 21 release notes)

There's a Zoom screen sharing control in the screenshot☝️. Not our best screenshot ever but we thought it more important to get the message out that get it perfect.

Outbound Messages Show Why Email Was Sent

The outbound messages tab shows all the offers sent to carriers. These can be triggered by the twice-daily Dispatch Campaign, auto-responses to inbound truck availability emails, Smart Rules or auto-responses to posted trucks.

There's now a label on each outbound email that makes it clear which of these sources it was:

October 8, 2021

Refresh DAT Load Board Postings Every 15 Minutes

If you post a load to DAT via Parade, we will refresh the posting every 15 minutes (until it is covered) so that your loads consistently appear at the top of DAT Power's load board.

September 21, 2021

Quote Feedback in Reporting

If you visit the Missed Opportunities report and scroll down to the Deep Dive: Missed Quotes - Last 90 Days section, you will see two new columns where quote feedback appears next to each skipped quote:

The values here are pulled from any feedback your team provided on a quote via the Quotes tab. As a reminder, each team member can leave feedback on a quote, including an explanation (see screenshots below). Now, this is available in the management reporting.

September 15, 2021

Better Agent Support

Agents can now handle multiple revenue codes. This lets you create complex situations like:

  • Agent A has customers D, E and F

  • Agent A hires Agent B to work on D and E but not F

  • Agent A hires Agent C to work on F

  • Agent A can see the freight for D, E & F

  • Agent B can only see D & E

  • Agent C can only see F

More Granular Quote Notifications

You can now configure exactly who gets a quote. In ambiguous situations you can set up a waterfall to determine who should get notified about a quote.

For instance if a quote is created from a Smart Rule, who should get the quote? The load owner? The carrier manager? The Smart Rule creator? Multiple people? Now you've got the ability to configure this based on how you'd like it to work.

Bug Fixes:

  • If a carrier becomes no dispatch we remove them from any loads where they were Direct Matches

  • If the date of the load changes we remove any Direct Matches for the previous date

  • If posted trucks expire, we remove them from Direct Matches

August 27, 2021

DAT Posted Trucks

Parade can now show posted trucks from DAT that match your loads:

If you have a DAT Connexion license, email support@parade.ai and we will get you set up to receive posted trucks.

Smart Rules with a Boundary

Want to create a smart rule that matches for loads near Chicago? Now you can by adding a boundary to the pick and/or drop locations in a smart rule:

In the example above, we'll search to 75 miles beyond the edge of Chicago to find matching freight. No need to separately specify Bedford Park!

Better Data on Suggested Matches

Suggested matches now show recent loads on a lane so you can see if the carrier has recently done it for you. We've also coalesced the historical pricing into one field; hover over it for an explanation of where it comes from.

August 23, 2021

Filter Loads by Customer Name

When you are slicing the list of loads for the ones you need to work on, you can now filter by customer name:

August 10, 2021

Book Now Price shown in quotes

When you look at a quote in Parade, we now show the Book Now price associated with that load (it previously wasn't visible). This makes it easier to counter a carrier's offer.

August 3, 2021

Changed top level navigation

The top of Parade now shows the most commonly used tabs. Smart Rules and Reporting used to be hidden behind the three button menu.

Carrier age is now shown in quotes

We heard from customers that some folks can't accept quotes from carriers with less than six months of experience. On quotes we now show how long the carrier has been in business based on the FMCSA census date (if available).

New design for dispatch campaign

We've simplified the design of the dispatch campaign (the email we send up to twice a day with personalized freight for your carriers) to make it easier for them to digest our available freight.

Bug Fixes

  • We no longer show Direct Matches where the day of truck availability is not the same as the date of the pick

  • If you add a negative lane preference in Lanes & Trucks we no longer show you matches

August 2, 2021

Indicate if carriers are in or out of network

You can now tell at a glance if a carrier is in- or out-of-network when looking at Direct, Similar or Suggested Matches.

Filter for Multiple Revenue Code at Once

If you are covering freight for multiple revenue codes, you can filter available loads for multiple revenue codes at once.

Bug Fixes

  • You can't attempt a Book Now with a carrier who is out-of-network

  • Carrier profile now always open on the Info tab

  • We removed the "Dashboard" link from carrier profiles as it was no longer being updated
