User Roles

Overview of user roles that group permissions.

Updated over 3 years ago

There are many permissions that a user can have access to from within the Parade system (see User Permissions guide). Parade has grouped these permissions into common roles.ย

The two most common roles that cover 99% of what you need are:

Admin Role

For operational managers and administrators only. This allows the user to do everything within the Parade system.

Agent Ops

Ideal for agents, carrier sales reps and carrier managers. This allows the user to do everything related to carriers and loads but prohibits them from the following:

  1. Seeing reporting

  2. Adding/editing/deleting users

  3. Changing your Marketplace Syndication settings

In addition, we have some predefined fine-grained roles that may be useful depending on how your team is set up:

Manage Assigned Carriers

For users that develop and manage carrier relationships. They can configure non-managed carriers and their own assigned carriers.

Manage Loads Role

For users that are solely dedicated towards covering freight and have no carrier relationship obligations.

View Only Role

For users that are only observers of the Parade system and cannot change anything within Parade.

Custom

Not every user fits the mold. You can customize the permissions for each user to expand or restrict their responsibilities.
