Lanes & Trucks Overview

A quick overview of the Lanes & Trucks feature

Updated over 3 years ago

The Lanes & Trucks feature on the Carrier Profile lets you capture the lane preferences and available trucks for a carrier - and see matching freight. Watch the video below for an overview of:

  1. How to find the Lanes & Trucks feature in Parade

  2. How the feature works - and how to use it on a phone call with a carrier to capture their lane preferences and available trucks

  3. How to see freight that matches a lane preference or available truck - and enter a quote for loads the carrier is interested in

  4. How to set up a recurring truck like "I always have a truck on Tuesday in Jurupa Valley"

  5. How to notify a carrier of all future loads that match their preferences

  6. How to save time by using keyboard shortcuts instead of the mouse

  7. How to use our Notes feature to capture carrier info in addition to lane preferences and available trucks

Additional Capacity Types

When you visit Lanes & Trucks you will see any additional capacity info Parade has collected about that carrier. Beyond what you capture over the phone, this can come from emails they've sent in, trucks that are out for delivery for you and searches they've done in your private portal.

In the image below, you can see examples of capacity that's due to a carrier dropping freight. Each of those trucks is an opportunity for a reload:

Keyboard shortcut summary

Working on the phone requires focus. To help, we let you use keyboard shortcuts instead of using the mouse when entering lane preferences and available trucks. Here's an overview of the shortcuts:

  • Arrow keys to move dates/times up/down

  • Press t ('today') in any date picker to set it to today's date

  • Press n ('now') in any time picker to set it to current time

  • Use tab to move across fields

  • Use the enter key to select values

Where's the save button?

There is no save button. We automatically save everything for you. If you make a mistake either edit or delete the lane preference/available truck. Editing is hidden behind the three dot menu next to each entry.
