You can now hide your freight from all external load boards, and share it exclusively with your own Carrier Network! Learn more about this feature here.
This document will cover all our Visibility features for automatically configuring Hide Rules for your loads, and advanced options available within this functionality.
This document also provides practical configuration scenarios, including restricting loads from external boards while enabling quoting on the Private Portal.
Restricting Visibility On Customer (Shipper) Freight
Overview: Hiding Customer Freight
For brokers dealing with high-value shipments or sensitive freight, maintaining confidentiality is paramount. The new UI introduces a feature allowing users to restrict visibility of such freight, ensuring it remains hidden within the network.
Accessing the Feature
Navigation: Locate the 'Pricing and Visibility' option at the top of the navigation bar, accessible to all customers. This hub combines both pricing and visibility features for ease of use.
Manage Visibility: Within this section, users can find the 'Manage Visibility' option, allowing them to hide specific freight from the marketplace and various dispatch campaigns.
How to Hide Freight
Creating a Hide Freight Rule: Users can hide specific loads by creating a rule. This is done by entering a customer ID or revenue code into the system.
Visibility of Actions: Once a rule is saved, the system updates to reflect the new visibility constraint, showing the revenue code or customer ID affected, the user who created it , and the date of the last update.
Deleting a Rule: If a user decides that hidden freight can be shared or if the rule is no longer needed, they can easily delete it by clicking the trash bin icon next to the rule.
NEW (04/01/25):
Hide Rule Advanced Settings
By default, hide rules will hide freight with the given criteria from all carriers on Parade, but you can use the Advanced Settings to manually enable freight visibility for specific reasons.
The Hide Rule Advanced Settings allows more cautious brokers to block/allow manual actions on hidden loads:
Manually posting to Private Portal
Manually postings to external loadboards
Manually sharing Magic Links
Additionally, you can follow steps to configure load visibility for specific scenarios, such as restricting loads from external boards while allowing visibility on the Private Portal.
This gives the broker more flexibility to decide if and how the loads can be viewed and shared.
Use Case: Restricting External Posting While Allowing Private Portal Quotes
In some scenarios, brokers may need to configure load visibility such that loads are restricted from external boards but remain accessible for quoting on the Private Portal. To achieve this, follow the steps below:
Disable Manual Posting to External Loadboards:
Locate the customer’s configuration settings in Parade.
Turn off the option for manually posting loads to external loadboards by disabling the 'Allow manually posting loads to external loadboards' feature.
Create a Hide Freight Rule for the Customer:
Set up a "Hide Freight" rule for the applicable customer. This will prevent their loads from being shared outside of approved networks.
Enable Manual and Automatic Posting on the Private Portal:
Ensure that both the Manual and Automatic 'Posting Loads to Private Portal' flags are enabled in the settings.
This configuration will keep the loads visible on the Private Portal, making them accessible to your pre-approved carrier network for quoting purposes.
These steps ensure that a customer's loads are not exposed on external load boards while maintaining their availability for quoting within a controlled private network.
The "Hide Rule Advanced Settings" can be found under the "Advanced Settings" toggle when creating the Hide Rule:

Restricting Visibility On A Specific Customer (Shipper) Freight For A Specific Carrier
It's not uncommon for brokers to prefer not pairing certain carriers with specific shippers due to past experiences, such as late arrivals or inadequate equipment. Such situations can leave a lasting negative impression. To address this, we've made it possible for brokers to specify which carriers should not access specific customer freight, enhancing the control over freight visibility and shipper satisfaction.
New Feature: Carrier-Specific Restrictions
Accessing the Feature
Updated User Interface: The process of restricting carrier access to certain freight has been integrated into the new UI, moving away from the previous Smart Rules approach.
Navigation: Users will find this feature under the carrier profile, accessible through the cog icon indicating automation settings. A new tab labeled "hides" has been added for this purpose.
Setting up Carrier Restrictions
Creating a Hide Freight Action: Within the "hides" tab, users can now create actions to hide freight from specific carriers. By entering a customer ID, brokers can prevent the carrier from accessing loads from that customer.
Dispatch Campaigns and Load Viewing: With the restriction in place, the specified carrier will not receive dispatch campaigns for, or be able to view, loads from the restricted customer. This ensures that shippers' preferences are respected, potentially improving the relationship between shippers and brokers by preventing unsatisfactory carrier-shipper pairings.
