Strict Carrier Validation
Strict Carrier Validation
Updated over a week ago

Strict Carrier Validation is a feature that can be turned on (via request to support@parade.ai) to be stricter in digital bookings. This is aimed at reducing the likelihood of fraud.

How does Strict Carrier Validation work?

This feature works by ensuring that Book Nows will only be accepted in Parade under 2 conditions:

  1. The email address of the carrier contact who tried to BN the load exactly matches an email of a TMS-created contact for that carrier (the email address must be originally sourced from your TMS in order to be able to BN).

OR

  1. The email address of the carrier contact who tried to BN the load exactly matches the Assigned Carrier Email address assigned to a past load (booked by that carrier with your brokerage in the past). So the carrier contact that is trying to BN must have had a previous load booked with your brokerage.

Note that this is an OR, not an AND.

FAQs

  • When the BN is rejected, does it populate the carrier in the TMS until it's accepted?

The BN will not be allowed to occur (will be rejected), so it will not populate the carrier in the TMS.

  • Do we have an opportunity to accept the BN if it's a new contact/carrier?

You will still be able to see the quote for that load (under the Quotes page), but it will present an error "Carrier validation failed".

With that, you will have to contact the carrier directly to book the load.

  • Does this impact quoting at all? No, they will still be able to quote, just won't be able to BN.

  • What happens if an existing carrier does a BN, but it's from a new email? The BN will fail, but you will still receive the quote. To avoid this, you can add the new email address to your TMS which will then allow that email to BN.

  • Will a user created in Parade manually who has a name and email match to the TMS be able to book now?

The carrier contact will have to be created/originally sourced from the TMS. If it's created in Parade or any other source other than the TMS, it will not be able to BN. This is to make sure that the TMS is the only source of truth.

  • What is the validation based on?
The validation is based on the email address.
