After a carrier submits a quote, CoDriver will automatically ask them for three quick details:
Empty Time – When their truck will be available
Empty Location – Where it will be empty
Equipment Type – What kind of truck/trailer they have
If the carrier provides all three fields, a new truck is posted automatically in your system, tagged with CoDriver as the source. This makes the truck available for future matching without any manual entry.
💬 What Happens Behind the Scenes
CoDriver only prompts for capacity after a quote is successfully stored.
If the carrier doesn’t provide a rate, they won’t be prompted.
If the carrier gives incomplete info, CoDriver won’t post the truck - but it will send a polite follow-up.
You can also manually add the information if you'd prefere, by clicking "ADD EMPTY TRUCK INFO" in the corresponding quote.
You will be prompted to the Truck Info, where you can add the "Empty date and time", "Empty location" and any Extra information, if needed.
⚙️ Broker Controls
You have full control over this feature. In your CoDriver Settings, you'll find a toggle labeled "Ask for empty truck". When this is enabled, CoDriver will prompt carriers for their truck details after every quote.
💡 Why This Matters
Even if a quote doesn't get booked, that interaction is still a goldmine of insight. Here's what you gain:
More Capacity: Grow your network without lifting a finger
Better Matching: Match carriers to future loads with current availability
Smarter Outreach: Target Dispatch Campaigns based on real-time truck locations
Enriched Profiles: Carrier data stays fresh and relevant
