We are eager to introduce you to our new Source model: An all-new, AI powered carrier sourcing experience, using real-time data from Parade and public inspections to find the best carrier for a lane.
The New Source Model
Our new model for Source is functionality designed to assist Carrier Reps in both the expansion of their Brokerage's Carrier Network, and assessing the ability their current Carriers have to cover specific lanes within their business.
With Source you can get Parade provided carrier predictions for specific lanes (origin, destination, and equipment type) based on real-time data, ensuring reps will always have the most up to date information to decide on which carriers to pursue for a specific lane or carrier expansion.
To use Source, follow the steps below:
Go to the Source tab in your Parade App;
Input the Origin, Destination, and Equipment Type (which now includes a lot more options for sub-types!) of your desired Lane.
Optionally filter out your results by using our new filters;
Get your results!
New Features
Source brings, together with its new model, the possibility of filtering your results by different criteria - which are all completely optional.
For example, we have learned that Carriers with Lane Preferences for the lane you are querying have a higher likelihood of covering loads you might address to them after a Source search. As such, to allow the leverage of said carriers - without impacting their score and ordering in the Source results for Source, we've added a filter option to include only carriers who have Lane Preferences for the specific Lane you are looking into.
โ
If we take the same lane from the screenshot above, and filter it by Lane Preference, we can see the immediate impact of this filter:
We also have:
A revamped layout for the Carrier Search results, including our new Carrier Circle feature, allows for easier identification of your carriers' statuses.
The possibility of filtering your results by Hazmat certification, in/out-of-network carriers only (or both!), only your carriers (in case you are a Carrier Manager and want to see only carriers assigned to you directly), and more to come.
A breakdown of the carrier's stats on that lane that have fueled their result in your search. Those may include Load History with your brokerage, recent trucks from that carrier that went through that lane, years of Carrier service, size of their fleets, and more!
Quick action buttons that allow you to:
Immediately add a quote to one of those carriers on a specific Load you might want covered.
Send a Book Now request to one of those carriers, if they are properly configured in your Parade App, for one of your Loads.
Manage those carrier's contacts.
Add Lane Preferences to that Carrier.
Add a Posted Truck to that Carrier.
Extra information in the bottom-left of each Carrier card displaying whether or not they have Lane Preference matches to that lane, trucks that have carried loads on that Lane (using a 100mi radius on Origin and Destination), and if they have an Available Truck on the lane.
FAQ
Q: What does the little arrows close to a Carrier's Domicile indicate?
A: The arrow pointing up shows the distance between the carrier's domicile and the origin of your lane, meanwhile, the arrow pointing downwards shows the distance between the domicile and the destination point of the queried Lane.
Q: How far back does the new Source query data for?
A: Source now looks 1 year back in time to fuel its results. The 1-year model also includes data on Public Carriers, meaning carriers that have not yet used Parade.
Q: How does Source calculate the Median Rate on Lane for the carriers shown in the results?
A: Source will consider all loads covered through Parade for that carrier on that lane in the last 365 days, and will calculate their median price. To consider that a load has been covered on that lane, we'll use our 100 miles radius search on both the Origin and Destination points for the load that was covered, comparing it with the Lane you have searched for.
Q: How can I review which data led the carrier to be a Top Result on Source?
A: You can check the data taken into account for the carrier's exhibition on your Source results by clicking the hint icon on the top-right of a carrier's card, as shown below:
